Israel Vows No Withdrawal from Southern Lebanon Amid Security Deal

Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz has declared that Israel will not withdraw from southern Lebanon, asserting its continued presence in the security zone despite a recently signed agreement with the United States and Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli War Minister Benny Gantz stated that the agreement signed yesterday with the United States and Lebanon represents a historic event and a significant political and security achievement for Israel. The deal, he added, has the potential to alter the security situation along the northern borders.

Gantz further asserted that Israel will not retreat from southern Lebanon and will maintain its presence in the security zone, including in Al-Shaqif. He specified that this security zone would be cleared of Hezbollah’s residents and infrastructure. According to the minister, no redeployment or withdrawal by Israel will occur before Hezbollah’s disarmament across all of Lebanon.

He claimed that Israel will preserve its operational freedom to neutralize any threats against its soldiers and the residents of northern settlements.
