CENTCOM Confirms U.S. Strikes on Iran, Cites Ceasefire Violation

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has officially confirmed renewed American incursions into Iran, asserting that Washington’s actions were a direct response to an Iranian attack on a commercial oil tanker last Saturday. CENTCOM claimed these strikes were necessary due to Tehran’s alleged violation of the ceasefire.
CENTCOM stated that U.S. forces, under the direct order of President Donald Trump, launched further attacks on multiple sites within Iranian territory. The U.S. command asserted that these strikes followed Iran’s latest assault on the commercial tanker ‘Keiko,’ which sails under the Panama flag and was reportedly targeted by Iranian attack drones.
The American command alleged that after the U.S. strikes on Friday, Iran was given an opportunity to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, but Tehran allegedly rejected this chance and continued its hostile actions. CENTCOM, without mentioning repeated U.S. ceasefire violations, announced that American fighter jets targeted Iranian military infrastructure, including surveillance systems, communication networks, and air defense sites.
CENTCOM concluded by claiming its forces are fully prepared and that commercial vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz continues without interruption. The command added that U.S. forces stand ready to deliver decisive strikes if necessary, with full vigilance.
A senior U.S. official also informed Fox News that the scope of the recent attacks was broader than the operation of the previous night. This official further stated that joint U.S. and Bahraini forces successfully shot down nine Iranian drones that were fired toward U.S. bases in Bahrain the previous night.
This assertion comes after the U.S. claimed on Saturday morning to have attacked areas in southern Iran, stating these strikes were in retaliation for an Iranian attack on a commercial vessel in the Strait of Hormuz.
Local informed sources in the Sirik region reported that the sound of explosions was due to a projectile hitting a telecommunications mast near the port of Taheruieh. Eyewitnesses also reported hearing explosions near the village of Masen on Qeshm Island. Public reports from the Bandar Lengeh county indicated that the sound of several explosions was heard in the cities of Bandar Lengeh and Bandar Kangan. This incident occurs after CENTCOM had previously announced attacks on positions in Sirik, labeling them as a response to an attack on a commercial ship.
As of this report, no official statement has been issued by Iranian military or law enforcement bodies regarding the full details of these attacks and potential damages in the three mentioned locations.
