US Lawmaker Vows Legal Action if Trump Continues Iran Attacks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Representative Ro Khanna has condemned recent escalations by the Trump administration against Iran, asserting that these strikes contravene a congressional mandate restricting further military actions without legislative approval.
Khanna stated on social media that the attacks represent a clear violation of the War Powers Resolution passed by Congress. He urged President Trump to cease hostilities immediately, warning of legal recourse if he fails to comply. ‘Otherwise, we will take him to court to force him to do so,’ Khanna declared.
These remarks follow the passage of a congressional resolution requiring the US President to either halt military operations against Iran or secure congressional authorization for any further actions. Although the Senate initially voted in favor of limiting President Trump’s war powers, it later reversed its decision, rejecting the measure under pressure from Donald Trump.
In response to repeated US aggressions, Iran’s armed forces have targeted US bases in the region.
