Syria Denounces Israeli Aggression on Quneitra and Daraa Provinces

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Syria‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong condemnation of recent Israeli assaults on the provinces of Quneitra and Daraa, characterizing them as a blatant breach of the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Citing reports from Russia Today via Mehr News Agency, the ministry stated that the artillery bombardments and military incursions by Israeli forces into Syrian territory not only instill fear among civilians but also contravene international law, the United Nations Charter, and the 1974 Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the continuation of these aggressions threatens regional security and stability, exacerbating the suffering of residents in border areas. Damascus has also urged the United Nations and the international community to fulfill their responsibilities by taking action to halt the repeated transgressions by the Israeli regime and to ensure the full implementation of the Disengagement of Forces Agreement.
Reports indicate that Israeli soldiers entered the village of Abidin in the western suburbs of Daraa on Sunday, targeting the area with helicopter fire and artillery shells. This resulted in damage to residential homes and forced a number of residents to abandon their dwellings.
