Russia Captures Four Settlements in Special Military Operation Zone

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its armed forces have taken control of four settlements within the special military operation zone, comprising two in the Dnipropetrovsk region and two in the Zaporizhzhia and Sumy regions.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Russian Ministry of Defense declared on Monday that its armed forces have captured four settlements in the special military operation zone. These newly controlled settlements include two in the Dnipropetrovsk region and two in the Zaporizhzhia and Sumy regions.

The Russian military has seized a total of five settlements between June 15 and June 21, all of which are located in the Donetsk region. Yesterday, the Russian Ministry of Defense also reported that following intense operations, its forces had occupied the settlements of Bysanttsi in the Dnipropetrovsk region and Novoselyvka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Additionally, significant progress has been reported across all fronts of the special military operation.

The ministry’s statement revealed that assault units of the 29th Combined Army’s 36th Independent Motor Rifle Brigade successfully breached Ukrainian defensive lines and fully secured the settlement of Bysanttsi.

Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, which commenced in February 2022, has now entered its fourth year. Numerous diplomatic efforts have been undertaken to resolve the conflict, but these have not yet yielded significant breakthroughs.
