China’s Foreign Minister Urges U.S. Caution on Taiwan in Call with Rubio
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi discussed Taiwan with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio via telephone, urging Washington to handle the issue with prudence to manage associated risks and maintain strategic stability.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held a telephone consultation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, as reported by Xinhua News Agency via Mehr News Agency.
During the call, China‘s top diplomat expressed hope that the United States would approach matters concerning Taiwan with caution. Wang Yi emphasized that both sides must control the risks associated with the issue.
The Chinese Foreign Minister further stated that Beijing desires both countries to remain on a path of constructive relations and strategic stability.
