Israeli Military Reveals 26,200 Soldiers Treated for War Injuries in Gaza

The Israeli Ministry of War has disclosed that approximately 26,200 soldiers and security personnel have received treatment for injuries sustained since the start of the Gaza conflict on October 8, 2023, with a significant portion suffering from psychological trauma.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli Ministry of War revealed today that around 26,200 soldiers of the Israeli army and security forces have been undergoing treatment since the war in Gaza commenced on October 8, 2023. The report indicated that 65 percent of these individuals suffer from psychological disorders, including post-traumatic stress disorder.

This statement, issued as the Israeli army’s offensive in Gaza reaches its thousandth day, further detailed that approximately 17,000 of the total wounded who sought rehabilitation services are experiencing psychological issues, while 7,700 have sustained physical injuries, including 97 cases of limb amputation.

The Israeli Ministry of War stated that 62 percent of the total wounded were from army reserves, with the remainder comprising conscripts and permanent forces. According to the statement, 92 percent of the injured are male and 8 percent are female.

The ministry projects that the number of army and security personnel undergoing treatment in rehabilitation centers will exceed 90,000 by the end of 2026, approaching 100,000 by 2028, with around 50,000 of them expected to suffer from psychological trauma.

Based on the latest figures released by the Israeli army, over 964 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the start of the Gaza war, with an additional 6,424 injured.

The Israeli regime imposes strict media censorship on much of the information related to its human and material losses during military operations, leading observers to express doubt that the official figures accurately reflect the actual extent of the damage.
