Eurasian Writers Union Chief Accuses US of Fabricating Narratives for Aggression Against Iran

Oleg Roy, head of the Eurasian Writers Union, has accused the United States under President Donald Trump of deliberately creating false narratives to justify aggression and pursue its objectives against Iran, emphasizing trade and oil control as primary drivers.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Oleg Roy, the head of the Eurasian Writers Union, has discussed acts of aggression by the United States and Zionism against Iran in an interview. The full details are as follows:

Currently, the United States government, led by President Donald Trump, is promoting various narratives and stories about Iran. These nations are accustomed to fabricating information and strive to present these false accounts in a manner that provides a pretext for aggression and justifies their aims.

At the core of all these issues lies a fundamental factor: trade, and particularly oil. The United States seeks to control oil resources. For this reason, countries such as Venezuela, Cuba, and other regions worldwide are subjected to these pressures, as they believe they possess such rights, even though they have never been granted such rights.

They endeavor to dominate countries that have not yet surrendered to them. Among these, nations like Iran, Russia, and China stand against this trend and support the idea of a multipolar world.

As we well remember, the invasion of Iraq was initiated based on claims of weapons of mass destruction and even a “test tube” – a claim that was later revealed to be baseless. Based on that same narrative, a decision was made that led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.

Following that, other crises emerged in Syria, and subsequently, conflicts continued in the region and among certain countries, while the role of foreign powers, particularly the United States, in many of these developments cannot be denied.

In such circumstances, Iran, with its millennia-old history, has always stood as a beacon of independence and defiance against foreign domination. Iran will never surrender. I have also addressed this in my book, although at the time of its writing, I did not anticipate developments would unfold with such speed and intensity.

Donald Trump has also repeatedly adopted contradictory positions, and his statements sometimes diverge significantly from existing realities. For many, this situation is neither acceptable nor trustworthy.

On the other hand, some analyses suggest that US foreign policy in certain areas is heavily influenced by Israel, particularly the positions of Benjamin Netanyahu. He has emphasized the issue of confronting Iran for decades.

What has occurred in Gaza and Lebanon has, according to many analysts, created deep humanitarian crises. However, regarding Iran, the perception has formed that the Iranian society will not yield to pressures and threats.

In this regard, Iran has repeatedly declared that it will not allow itself to be treated like other countries. Within this framework, the role of Commander Qassem Soleimani is also mentioned, who emphasized the principle of “living for the people.”

Today’s global developments can lead to fundamental changes in the global balance of power. Although some previously believed the war in Ukraine was the focal point of these changes, many now contend that the epicenter of these transformations is located in the West Asia region, particularly in Iran.

Ultimately, these conflicts can reshape the global order. In this context, I, as an author, hold a positive view of my country Russia’s approach towards Iran and consider it noteworthy.
