Israeli Parliament Approves Investigation Committee into October 7 Failures

The Israeli Knesset has voted to establish an inquiry committee to examine the failures and events surrounding the October 7 Al-Aqsa Storm operation, although opposition parties boycotted the vote and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was absent.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli Knesset has voted to form an investigation committee tasked with examining the incidents and failures related to the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, which commenced on October 7. This decision was reported by Israel’s Channel 12 television, citing data published by the Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera network.

However, the opposition factions and parties critical of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government completely boycotted the Knesset’s voting session on the establishment of this inquiry committee. They abstained from participating in the proceedings and the vote regarding the probe into the October 7, 2023, events.

The Israeli media outlet also revealed that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself was not present during the session and did not participate in the vote to approve the formation of the investigation committee.
