Kremlin Monitors NATO Summit Developments Amid Ukraine Crisis

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Administration (Kremlin), announced on Tuesday that Russia is monitoring the developments related to the NATO summit in Turkey, an event that has garnered significant international attention, including within Russia. During the preparations for the NATO summit, numerous statements regarding Russia were made, often with a confrontational tone.
Peskov further stated that Russia continues to be prepared for a peaceful settlement of the Ukraine crisis, emphasizing that a political and diplomatic solution to the conflict remains Russia’s priority. In the event of Kyiv’s unwillingness to engage in a peaceful resolution, the special operation will persist until all Russian objectives are fully achieved. A peaceful settlement of the Ukraine conflict is contingent upon Kyiv’s readiness to make necessary decisions. Ukraine’s persistent requests for new types of weaponry will not impede the continuation of the special operation until Russia’s goals are attained. Russian armed forces are continuing their efforts to liberate new territories, and work on establishing a buffer zone is ongoing.
Dmitry Peskov mentioned that Russia is in contact with the United States regarding the resolution of the Ukraine issue and expressed hope for successful efforts from Washington. He also noted that Russia’s non-energy exports have shown substantial growth in recent years, highlighting this sector as one of the most important within the country’s economy.
The summit of NATO member state leaders is being held in Ankara today and tomorrow.
