Arab League Denounces Israeli Blockade Preventing Secretary-General’s West Bank Visit

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli regime has obstructed the planned visit of Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy to the West Bank. This visit was slated to be Fahmy’s first foreign trip since assuming his position earlier this month.

A spokesperson for the Arab League Secretary-General issued a statement confirming that Palestinian authorities informed the League that the Israeli regime prevented the trip, which was scheduled for Wednesday. The visit aimed to express support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and to hold discussions with Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority.

Fahmy emphasized that Palestinians are currently besieged within their cities and villages, enduring difficult conditions amidst the expansion of settlements and the occupation of transportation routes, coupled with escalating violence from extremist settlers.

The statement underscored the necessity of prosecuting the Israeli regime for its continuous crimes against the Palestinian people. It further stated that advocating for the two-state solution requires active and persistent efforts to ensure an end to the occupation and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
