Israel Launches New Air and Ground Attacks on Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese sources have reported that the Israeli army subjected the town of Deir Syrean, located in the Marjeyoun district of southern Lebanon, to artillery shelling. Concurrently, Lebanese sources indicated a new Israeli drone attack in southern Lebanon, specifically targeting the town of Kafr Rumaan.
These developments occur while the Western-aligned Lebanese government continues to emphasize negotiation with Israel. Previous reports from the Lebanese Ministry of Health stated that since March 2, 2026 (Esfand 11, 1404), a total of 4,321 Lebanese citizens have been killed in Israeli attacks. The ministry also reported that 12,203 Lebanese citizens have been injured during the same period.
Israel initiated a wide-ranging offensive against Lebanon on March 2, 2026, which has resulted in casualties and displaced over one million people, in addition to the deaths and injuries of Lebanese citizens. Israel currently occupies areas in southern Lebanon.
