Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Tensions, Warn Against Escalation

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have expressed deep concern over escalating regional tensions, with their foreign ministers agreeing that further conflict would be detrimental to all parties involved and undermine peace efforts.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan issued a statement today, Saturday, following recent U.S. provocations in the region and incursions into Iranian territory. The statement indicated that Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, and his Saudi counterpart, Faisal bin Farhan, expressed their profound concern regarding the intensifying tensions in the region during a phone call.

The statement released by the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Foreign Minister of Pakistan and his Saudi counterpart agreed that the resumption of conflict serves no party’s interests. Muhammad Ishaq Dar and Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that renewed conflict weakens endeavors aimed at achieving peace and stability. The Pakistani Foreign Minister urged all parties to exercise maximum restraint and allow time for mediation efforts.
