US Delegation Adjusts Travel Plans, Cancels Visit to Oman Amid Regional Talks

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Jazeera, citing CBS News, reported that a U.S. official stated on Saturday that JD Vance, a representative of Donald Trump, will not be traveling to Oman.
CBS News also claimed that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio, Wittcoff, and Kushner, who were designated as U.S. representatives for regional negotiations, will not participate in discussions there.
The outlet further alleged that the U.S. official added that Washington will continue to conduct remote negotiations with intermediaries in Oman and Qatar. Vance’s trip to Oman has been called off.
This development occurs as Sayyid Badr Al-Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, welcomed Seyed Abbas Araghchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, upon his arrival at the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs earlier.
During his visit, Araghchi engaged in discussions and consultations with his Omani counterpart regarding the latest bilateral developments, regional and international issues, and avenues for strengthening joint cooperation.
