Egyptian Foreign Minister: ‘Greater Israel’ Project Won’t Materialize

Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry stated that any future regional arrangements must be based on consensus, asserting that unilateral imposition of will or redrawing the Middle East map by any single nation, regardless of its power, will not succeed.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry announced that developments in the region since October 7, 2023, have demonstrated that no efforts to impose dominance or unilaterally redraw the map of the Middle East will be successful. He emphasized that any future regional arrangements must be built on the agreement and consensus of regional countries, and no single nation, irrespective of its power, can impose its will or dominance on others through force or military might.

Responding to questions about the so-called ‘Greater Israel’ project and the redesign of the Middle East, the Egyptian Foreign Minister clarified that any plan based on the unilateral imposition of will is doomed to fail, with the collective will of the region’s countries forming the basis of any future mechanism. Shoukry also commented on the quadrilateral mechanism involving Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and Pakistan, describing it not as a military or political alliance but as a platform for consultation and coordination among four influential regional nations.
