Israeli Opposition Leader Outpaces Netanyahu in Latest Polls Ahead of Elections

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a recent survey by the Kantar Institute reveals that the National Unity Party, led by Benny Gantz, is currently projected to win 24 seats in the upcoming Israeli elections, surpassing Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, which is forecast to secure 23 seats.
The poll also highlighted a personal popularity contest, with Gantz leading Netanyahu by a margin of 41 percent to 37 percent among voters. This suggests a growing public preference for Gantz as a potential leader.
Further analysis of the seat projections indicates a significant advantage for the bloc opposing the current government. This opposition coalition is expected to garner 68 seats, compared to the 52 seats projected for the bloc supporting Netanyahu. This outcome underscores the depth of the internal political crisis and the growing political isolation faced by the Israeli Prime Minister as the nation approaches the upcoming elections.
