Lebanese Parliament Speaker Berri Declares Framework Agreement Obsolete, Citing New Iranian Directives

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Nabih Berri, who also leads the Shiite Amal Movement, believes that the “framework agreement” between the Lebanese government and the Zionist regime has become obsolete. This assessment follows a significant loss of balanced and substantial support on the domestic front.
Lebanese newspapers reported, citing Berri, that communication channels between the United States and Iran remain open despite existing tensions. He added that the Lebanese dossier will be reinstated as an independent item on the agenda for negotiations between the two parties.
In this regard, informed sources revealed to Lebanese newspapers that Berri and Hezbollah leadership have received a new message from Iranian officials. According to this message, Tehran has informed Qatari and Pakistani mediators that ending the war in Lebanon and completing the withdrawal of the Zionist regime are priorities for Iran, equivalent in importance to the “Strait of Hormuz issue” and the “implementation of the memorandum of understanding signed with the United States.”.
These developments emerge just two days before the sixth round of Lebanon-Israel negotiations, mediated by the United States, is scheduled to take place in Rome.
