Ansarullah Spokesperson Warns of Retaliation After Saudi Air Strikes on Sanaa Airport

Sanaa, Yemen – Mohammed Abdul-Salam, spokesperson for the Houthi movement and head of the Yemeni government’s negotiation team, has declared that Saudi Arabia’s air raids on Sanaa International Airport will not go unanswered. He condemned the attacks as a blatant violation of Yemeni sovereignty and a breach of the 2022 ceasefire agreement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mohammed Abdul-Salam, spokesperson for the Ansarullah movement and head of the negotiation delegation for the Sanaa government, stated that the Saudi regime, without any justification, launched a series of air strikes against Sanaa International Airport. He described these actions as a clear violation of Yemen‘s sovereignty and a significant breach of the 2022 ceasefire agreement.

Abdul-Salam added that this brutal and direct military aggression by Saudi Arabia against sovereign facilities like Sanaa International Airport is a continuation of the previous aggression that began in 2015 with the targeting of the same facilities. He asserted that this aggression reveals the true intentions of the Saudi regime, which is behind the imposed blockade on Yemen. It demonstrates that the regime is an aggressor that does not believe in peace with its Yemeni neighbors, but rather desires a submissive neighbor devoid of decision-making power, independence, or sovereignty.

He further stated that since the ceasefire agreement, the Saudi regime has been repeatedly urged to swiftly implement the roadmap. However, the regime has continued its procrastination, rejected all solutions for the reopening of Sanaa International Airport, and evaded its responsibilities and commitments within the framework of the peace agreement. Consequently, we hold the Saudi regime entirely responsible for this new aggression and will not leave it unanswered, as self-defense for one’s homeland and people is a religious, national, moral, and humanitarian duty and a legitimate right recognized by Islamic Sharia and international law.
