Oil Tanker Suffers Fire Near Oman After Suspected Missile Strike

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, London announced on Tuesday that a security incident occurred affecting an oil tanker near Oman. The UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that an oil tanker experienced a security incident approximately 13 nautical miles southeast of Lima, Oman. The vessel reported being struck by a missile while transiting the southern route outbound.
The incident resulted in a fire aboard the tanker. UKMTO stated that officials are continuing their investigations into the matter. Further details and information regarding the incident have not yet been released.
