Strait of Hormuz Sees Minimal Traffic as 6 Vessels Transmit Iranian Oil

A mere six vessels transited the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday, including a supertanker carrying two million barrels of Iranian oil, following Iran’s decision to restrict international navigation in response to alleged violations by the United States military.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by Kepler indicates that only six ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday. This development comes after Iran announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz to international navigation in retaliation for what it described as aggressions by the U.S. military into its territory. Among the six vessels was the supertanker ‘Humanity,’ which was transporting two million barrels of Iranian oil. Kepler’s data also showed that the oil tanker ‘Capitan Andreas,’ carrying approximately 500,000 barrels of Kuwaiti petroleum products, was among the ships that traversed the vital waterway.
