Kuwait Reports Interception of Missiles and Drones Targeting Naval Vessel
Kuwait’s armed forces successfully intercepted a barrage of ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones, with fragments causing damage and injuring three military personnel after an attack impacted a naval vessel. The Ministry of Defense reported that vital civilian infrastructure also sustained damage from falling debris.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Kuwait‘s Minister of Defense, Saud Abdulaziz Al-Ateeqi, announced that the nation’s armed forces detected and countered one ballistic missile, five cruise missiles, and 33 drones. He also confirmed that several critical civilian and non-military infrastructure sites were targeted, with fragments falling in various locations across the country and causing damage.
Al-Ateeqi further stated that one of Kuwait’s naval vessels sustained damage and that three members of the military were injured as a result of the attack.
