The U.S. Embassy in Beirut has asserted that recent negotiations in Rome between Lebanon and Israel concluded successfully, describing the two-day discussions as constructive and positive. An agreement has reportedly been reached on an operational framework for a ‘pilot zone,’ with details to be finalized and implementation commencing soon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut issued a statement on Wednesday, claiming that negotiations held in Rome between Lebanon and Israel have concluded after two days of constructive and positive dialogue. The statement, citing Al Jazeera, indicated that an agreement was reached concerning an operational framework for a “pilot zone.”

The embassy further stated that the specifics of this mechanism are currently being finalized, and its implementation is expected to begin in the coming days. The statement asserted that technical negotiations will move forward to implement a tripartite framework aimed at achieving a comprehensive agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
