Kremlin: Contact with Iran Continues; Russia’s Economic Issues Not Critical

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian Presidential Administration (Kremlin), announced on Thursday that Russia is observing another wave of instability in the Persian Gulf region, which will have negative repercussions for the global economy. He confirmed that communication channels with Iran remain open, and there has been no request from Tehran for a phone conversation between President Putin and President پزشکیان.
Peskov further indicated that all news concerning Kyiv is being monitored, particularly given the ongoing special military operation. He emphasized that changes in Ukraine’s government composition are not significant for Russia; the primary concern is the safeguarding of Russian national interests. The identity of Ukraine’s defense minister is of no consequence to Russia, he added.
Addressing Russia’s economic situation, Peskov asserted that the country’s economic problems do not possess a critical nature, and the overall economic condition remains stable. He stressed the importance of having a responsible decision-maker in Kyiv who can facilitate either a peaceful resolution or the cessation of military operations. While no immediate prospects for resuming Ukraine peace talks in Turkey are foreseen, Russia remains prepared for such a process. The Kremlin acknowledged and appreciated Turkey’s willingness to mediate the situation surrounding Ukraine.
