Russia Warns of Unprecedented Global Energy Crisis

Russia has cautioned that the world is on the brink of its largest-ever energy crisis, with potentially devastating consequences that extend beyond oil and gas to disrupt global supply chains. The ongoing tensions in the Persian Gulf are cited as a contributing factor to this escalating threat.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia‘s Special Representative Kirill Dmitriev has issued a stark warning, indicating that humanity may be facing its most significant energy crisis in history. This critical situation is reportedly emerging after a period of relative calm.

Dmitriev elaborated that the ramifications of this impending crisis are expected to be far more extensive than those of previous crises. He stressed that the disruption would not be limited to the oil and gas sectors alone but would also severely impact the transportation of industrial and agricultural goods.

He further noted that the European Union and the United Kingdom are anticipated to suffer the most significant repercussions from this unfolding crisis.

The statement comes amid heightened geopolitical tensions, with specific mention made of actions by the United States against Iran, which have contributed to insecurity in the Persian Gulf, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz.
