Hamas Political Chief Khalil Al-Hayya Discusses Palestinian Unity, Resistance with PA Official

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Khalil Al-Hayya, the head of the political bureau of Hamas, received a phone call from Hussein Al-Sheikh, the deputy head of the Palestinian Authority. Al-Sheikh congratulated Al-Hayya on his election as the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and wished him success in his responsibilities.

Al-Hayya affirmed his commitment to continuing efforts to serve the Palestinian people and their just cause, safeguarding national principles, and defending them. He also stressed his determination to utilize all capacities to support the Palestinian people in Gaza, the West Bank, and all arenas.

The Hamas political chief further stated that he would cooperate with all Palestinian leaders to achieve Palestinian unity and confront the threats facing the Palestinian nation and cause. Meanwhile, the Secretary-General and leadership members of the Palestinian Ahrar Movement congratulated Al-Hayya on his appointment, expressing confidence that the new Hamas leadership would continue the path of resistance and defense of Palestinian rights and national principles.

A statement from the Ahrar Movement highlighted that the current phase requires a high level of wisdom, responsibility, strengthening national unity, and enhancing participation among Palestinian forces to counter challenges targeting the just Palestinian cause. The movement also expressed pride in its fraternal relations with Hamas and pledged to work towards strengthening cooperation and synergy between the two movements for the benefit of the Palestinian people, reinforcing their steadfastness, and preserving the resistance strategy, ultimately leading to freedom, an end to occupation, and the attainment of all legitimate Palestinian rights.
