Iran Serious About Talks but Rejects Deadlines, Russian Envoy States

Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, stated that Iran is serious about negotiations with the United States but will not accept dictated deadlines.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna, posted on social media platform X on Wednesday, asserting that Iran‘s approach to negotiations with the United States is serious.

Ulyanov elaborated that there is no doubt about Iran’s commitment to talks, but the country does not accept dictates or deadlines. He emphasized that diplomacy is the art of achieving reasonable compromises.

The Russian diplomat further added that the most crucial aspect currently is for both sides to confirm they have not abandoned negotiations and remain prepared to continue dialogue.

Ulyanov’s remarks on the negotiations between Iran and the United States come in the context of two previous incursions by the White House into Iranian territory. These actions, which violated all international laws, occurred during indirect talks between Tehran and Washington, proving to the world that the United States is not genuinely seeking negotiation.
