Italy to Host Next Round of Lebanon-Israel Talks in August

Italy is set to host the next round of negotiations between Lebanon and Israel on August 4th, marking the seventh such session and the second to take place in Rome. This development follows previous mediated discussions that resulted in a framework agreement, which has drawn criticism within Lebanon.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Italy will be the venue for a new round of negotiations between Lebanon and the Israeli regime. The talks are scheduled for August 4th, making it the seventh session of its kind and the second to be held in Rome, as reported by Al-Nahar, citing Mehr News Agency.

Meanwhile, Israeli media, quoting sources, indicated that the next round of discussions between Lebanon and the Israeli regime is expected to occur next month.

It is noteworthy that Beirut and Tel Aviv have held several rounds of negotiations, facilitated and supervised by the United States at its State Department. One round also took place in Rome, culminating in a framework agreement.

Following this agreement, which has faced considerable criticism from various factions within Lebanon, including Hezbollah, the President of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun, met with his American counterpart at the White House yesterday. During this meeting, President Trump suggested the possibility of Beirut joining a normalization agreement with the Israeli regime.
