Netanyahu Convenes Security Meeting Amid West Bank Operations
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will convene a meeting with Minister of War Israel Katz and Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir to deliberate on strategies to counter anti-Israeli operations in the West Bank. This session comes in the wake of the “Havat Gilad” operation, which claimed the life of at least one Israeli. Prime Minister Netanyahu stated, “We will act decisively against terrorists and those behind them, and we will not allow terrorism to re-emerge in the West Bank.”
Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir also commented on the morning’s events in the West Bank, asserting that the fate of those responsible for the attacks should mirror that of Beit Hanoun in Gaza. He indicated his intention to meet with the Prime Minister for a security cabinet session, where he plans to urge the Israeli military to demolish the homes of terrorists and their supporters using airstrikes and bulldozers, ensuring that terrorists pay a fitting price. Ben-Gvir claimed, “For every Jew killed, the enemy must suffer the loss of land and homes. This is the language spoken in the Middle East, and just as we acted in Gaza, it is time to act in the West Bank and Jerusalem.”
The Israeli emergency services reported earlier on Friday that a guard at the settlement of “Havat Gilad,” near the village of “Tal” southwest of Nablus in the West Bank, was killed and at least three others were injured in a shooting incident. Following this operation, Israeli forces reportedly attacked the village of Tal in Nablus, martyring four Palestinians and wounding many others.
