Saudi-Led Coalition Confirms Strikes in Yemen, Threatens Further Action

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Saudi-led coalition has confirmed a retaliatory military operation against targets it claims belong to the Houthi movement in Yemen‘s Al Hudaydah Governorate. In a statement, the coalition alleged that the Houthi movement, which it described as terrorist, had engaged in cowardly and reckless actions by targeting commercial vessels in the Red Sea.

The coalition leadership asserted that the port of Al Hudaydah was not the target of these attacks and that all Yemeni ports remain open for navigation and maritime shipping. It further claimed that Houthi militants are preventing the launch and operation of flights from Sana’a International Airport and continue to insist on the siege of the Yemeni people.

The statement emphasized the coalition’s commitment to taking all necessary operational measures to protect Saudi national ships, interests, and capabilities. The Saudi-led coalition concluded by threatening the Houthi movement, stating that any continuation of hostile actions would be met with an uncompromising response.

These threats from the Saudi-led coalition come as Hazam Al-Assad, a member of the Houthi political bureau, responded earlier to the initial Saudi attack on the port of Al Hudaydah in western Yemen via a tweet on the social media platform X. Al-Assad stated, “Port for port, airport for airport, and any escalation of tension will be met with a greater escalation of tension.”
