US Reassessing Military Presence in Kuwait, Reports Wall Street Journal

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Wall Street Journal, quoting U.S. officials, has reported that the United States is reviewing the level and extent of its military presence in Kuwait.

The Pentagon was reportedly considering a reduction in U.S. forces in Kuwait even before the commencement of hostilities with Iran. However, following Iran’s attacks on American bases, Washington has curtailed its military presence in the country to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities for its personnel.

A U.S. official, speaking to the Wall Street Journal, emphasized the strong relationship between Washington and Kuwait, characterizing the nation as a partner in bolstering regional stability.
