US Economy Sheds Tens of Thousands of Jobs Amidst Ongoing Conflict Impact

The United States economy experienced a significant downturn in July, losing 23,000 non-agricultural jobs, compounding a loss of 20,000 jobs in June, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The U.S. economy lost 23,000 non-agricultural jobs in July, the Bureau of Labor Statistics announced, following a decline of 20,000 such positions in June. These figures contrast sharply with internal U.S. predictions that anticipated the creation of over 80,000 jobs in the non-agricultural sector. The unemployment rate in July stood at approximately 4.1 percent, with the total number of unemployed individuals reaching around 6.9 million. The ongoing conflict involving Iran continues to exert negative repercussions on global economies, including that of the United States. Disruptions in supply chains have escalated operational costs for companies, compelling them to reduce their workforce. Furthermore, trade tensions, stemming from increased customs tariffs, have also delivered adverse consequences for the American economy.
