Syria and Russia Agree on Future of Tartus and Hmeimim Bases

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Damascus and Moscow have reached a memorandum of understanding that defines the future of two Russian bases in Tartus and Hmeimim. The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that Damascus will gradually assume management of the Hmeimim Airport and the fourth commercial berth at the Port of Tartus. The memorandum of understanding specifies a three-month period for the completion of the handover process and the implementation of the new arrangements.
