Trump Administration Unconcerned by Netanyahu’s Stance on Gaza Peace Plan

The Donald Trump administration has indicated it is not concerned by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s opposition to a peace plan for Gaza, viewing his position as part of an election cycle.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Axios news outlet, citing informed sources, reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is not worried about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s opposition to a peace plan for Gaza.

Barak Ravid, an Axios correspondent, reported, citing a senior U.S. official, that the White House is not concerned by Netanyahu’s remarks regarding the Gaza plan and considers this stance part of Israel’s election season.

The U.S. official added that Netanyahu claimed in a phone call last week with Jared Kushner, special envoy for Donald Trump, that despite his doubts, he would give the 15-point plan a chance and reduce attacks on Gaza to create an environment for disarmament. He emphasized, “America understands Netanyahu’s political needs, and as long as he continues to implement Washington’s demands, we have no objection to his position.”

According to this U.S. official’s claim, the most important issue for Washington is to reduce attacks on Gaza. This comes while the Israeli regime’s attacks against the Gaza Strip continue.

Netanyahu announced on Sunday that the Israeli regime rejects the 15-point peace council plan regarding the Gaza Strip and that the regime’s army will not withdraw from the area until Hamas is fully disarmed in all aspects.

According to the report, on October 9, 2025, the Israeli regime and Hamas, with the mediation of Egypt, Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, agreed to implement the first phase of the peace plan proposed by the U.S. President. However, the regime still occupies more than 50 percent of the Gaza Strip’s territories.
