Iraqi Resistance Vows to Combat Oil Theft and National Plunder
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Sheikh Akram Al-Kaabi, Secretary-General of Iraq‘s Nujaba movement, has declared that the Iraqi resistance is actively working to combat the theft of the nation’s oil and prevent the plunder of its resources. He criticized justifications presented to the public regarding critical and fateful issues that, he argued, link Iraq to the American axis of evil. These justifications, particularly concerning the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) and the resistance, often center on the notion that revenues from Iraqi oil sales are received by the United States, and any challenge to this system could result in the withholding of Iraq’s budget share.
Al-Kaabi questioned how a sovereign nation could entrust its economy and assets to a “criminal, arrogant thief.” He asserted that instead of weakening the nation’s power structures, abandoning national sovereignty, and surrendering it to Zionists and Americans, the focus should be on national interests, dignity, and reclaiming sovereignty from what he described as a “hated guardianship” that controls the country’s resources and wealth.
He further advocated for the establishment of multiple channels for selling Iraqi oil to prevent American monopoly and to receive payments directly from buyers, bypassing intermediaries who unjustly impose themselves on the country. Al-Kaabi highlighted that Iraq has exited Chapter VII of the UN Charter, granting it full freedom in choosing its oil customers and sales mechanisms.
Additionally, Al-Kaabi expressed shame over the silence regarding statements by the U.S. Secretary of State, who reportedly said that American investments in Iraq are considered part of U.S. national security. He interpreted these remarks as confirmation that the core of the American agenda is the looting of Iraq’s wealth under the guise of investment.
Al-Kaabi concluded that confronting this trend is one of the most significant duties undertaken by the Iraqi resistance, emphasizing their unwavering stance against the misappropriation of the Iraqi people’s assets in any form or under any title.
