UAE Cybersecurity Council Thwarts Advanced Cyberattacks on Aviation and Energy Sectors

The United Arab Emirates’ Cybersecurity Council announced on Monday the detection and neutralization of sophisticated, organized cyberattacks targeting the nation’s aviation, energy, and education sectors. The council confirmed preemptive engagement successfully curbed attempts to infiltrate digital systems and compromise sensitive data.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by the Mehr News Agency, citing the WAM news agency, indicates that the United Arab Emirates’ Cybersecurity Council announced today, Monday, that it has monitored and neutralized advanced and organized cyberattacks targeting the country’s aviation, energy, and education sectors.

The council claimed that these attacks were met with preemptive and immediate engagement, and efforts to hack information were contained.

The UAE Cybersecurity Council elaborated that these attacks involved numerous routes and methods, including attempts to infiltrate digital systems and infrastructure, targeting operational accounts and data, as well as sophisticated phishing campaigns and efforts to exploit users as entry points into target environments.

The council emphasized its highest level of readiness for monitoring and confronting cyber threats.
