A powerful magnitude 7.7 earthquake has shaken the northern coast of Indonesia’s Flores Island, according to the United States Geological Survey. No immediate reports of casualties or significant damage have been released.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the northern coast of Indonesia’s Flores Island early Saturday morning. The United States Geological Survey reported the epicenter of the seismic event was located 68 kilometers northwest of the town of Ende, at a depth of 10 kilometers.
As of this report, there have been no official statements regarding potential damage or loss of life resulting from the earthquake.
