White House Rejects Israeli Request to Target Turkish Positions in Syria, Report Claims

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, citing Al-Mayadeen, Israel’s Channel 13 television network has asserted that the White House opposed a request from Tel Aviv concerning the targeting of Turkish-affiliated positions within Syria during recent weeks.

The Israeli network further reported that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is seeking to gain control of civilian airports in conjunction with Abu Mohammad al-Julani. This claim emerges amidst shifting regional dynamics and security concerns.

Previously, Hakan Fidan, in a joint press conference with Asaad Al-Shaybani, the Foreign Minister of the Julani regime, stated that Israeli attacks against Syria infringe upon the country’s sovereignty and that safeguarding its security is a shared responsibility among the region’s nations. This statement underscores a broader regional perspective on the security landscape.
