Gaza Healthcare System on Brink of Collapse Amid Fuel Shortages

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the head of Gaza‘s Medical Relief Organization, Mohammed Abu Affash, has warned that medical and health services at relief centers will cease within the next 24 hours if the shortage of fuel for electric generators persists.

Abu Affash noted the cessation of the main electricity generator’s operations at Al-Rimal Center in Gaza City, stating that this situation has deprived thousands of Palestinian citizens of vital medical services. These services include care for children, pregnant women, the elderly, and pre-marital medical tests.

He emphasized that the occupation forces have destroyed all alternative energy sources, forcing medical services to rely on generators that are on the verge of complete shutdown, which will lead to a health catastrophe.

Furthermore, Abu Affash strongly condemned the occupation’s policy of prohibiting the entry of medicines into Gaza, attributing it to the exacerbation of the medical crisis and the reduced capacity of healthcare professionals to provide care.
