German Government Agencies Targeted in Cyberattack

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, multiple government sectors in Germany have been targeted by a cyberattack, as reported by the German News Agency (dpa). The affected areas include those responsible for development and infrastructure, transportation affairs, and environmental protection.
In response to the incident, German experts immediately disconnected the communication lines of the compromised departments from other government networks to contain the scope of the cyber intrusion.
Authorities involved in the investigation include the Office for Information Security, the Federal Criminal Police Office, and the Attorney General’s Office in Berlin. As of now, further details regarding the attack and the potential for government data leakage have not been disclosed.
