Russia Downs Hundreds of Ukrainian Drones, Strikes Black Sea Ports

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia’s Ministry of Defense stated that 453 Ukrainian drones were intercepted in the country’s southwestern regions last night. The ministry’s statement indicated that the drones targeted the provinces of Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh, Kaluga, Vladimir, Nizhny Novgorod, Vologda, Oryol, Tula, Lipetsk, Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Volgograd, Rostov, Saratov, Samara, Ulyanovsk, and Moscow, as well as the Krasnodar region, the republics of Crimea and Bashkortostan, and the Black Sea.
The Ukrainian army regularly targets southwestern Russian regions with drones and missiles. Concurrently, the Russian army is expanding its military operations to push Kyiv’s forces away from Russian territory, including annexed lands, to counter the range of Western missiles and weapons used to strike Russia.
Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported targeting fuel tanks at the Ukrainian port of Chornomorsk and a cargo ship in the Black Sea. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, on the evening of August 18, a dry cargo ship was targeted in the waters of the Black Sea, southeast of the city of Odesa. This vessel was carrying materials and equipment with military applications.
On August 19, Russian forces carried out a new attack, targeting fuel and lubricant storage tanks at the ‘Chornomorsk’ port. These tanks were designated for supplying the Ukrainian armed forces.
