Iran and Iraq Deepen Economic Ties to Boost Investment

Iraq’s Ambassador to Iran, Yaseer Al-Hajjaj, held a meeting with representatives of the Iranian Entrepreneurs Assembly, which includes prominent Iranian companies active and investing in Iraq. The discussions centered on enhancing economic cooperation and investment between the two countries.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the current state of Iranian companies’ investments in Iraq, explored existing capacities and opportunities for expanding economic and investment collaborations, and addressed the primary challenges and obstacles faced by Iranian firms operating in the country.
Both sides emphasized the importance of identifying and resolving existing impediments to facilitate the operations of Iranian companies in Iraq. They also discussed strategies to strengthen economic partnerships and create favorable conditions for the implementation of joint projects.
The Iraqi ambassador underscored the significance of supporting investors and improving the business and investment environment. He noted that establishing a suitable framework for investors’ activities can lead to deeper economic relations between Iran and Iraq and generate new opportunities for executing joint projects between the two nations.
