US Central Command Claims Disruptions to 70 Vessels Amidst Iran Blockade

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, US Central Command (CENTCOM) has claimed that it has rerouted the paths of 65 commercial vessels and disabled three others, in what it describes as a continuation of maritime blockade efforts against Iran. These assertions were published on the social media platform X alongside an image of a US sailor observing from the combat information center of the guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53).
CENTCOM alleged that its naval forces are currently implementing a US blockade against Iran in regional waters. The statement further claimed that as of August 19th, its forces had altered the routes of 65 commercial ships, disabled three vessels, and inspected two others to ensure compliance with the blockade regulations against Iran.
These allegations come at a time when the US military is reportedly facing significant internal challenges. Global media outlets have been extensively covering news regarding suicides among American officers stationed aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, indicating a crisis within the US forces.
