North Korea Launches 10 Ballistic Missiles Towards East Sea

South Korea’s military confirmed that North Korea fired approximately 10 short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea, a move that escalates tensions amid renewed diplomatic overtures.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, South Korean military officials have announced that North Korea launched around 10 ballistic missiles toward the East Sea. This missile test from Pyongyang occurs as United States President Donald Trump recently expressed a desire to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, claiming such a meeting would take place later this year.

The President of South Korea had also urged Pyongyang officials to engage in direct negotiations and end the state of war that has persisted for seven decades. The South Korean President emphasized that these discussions could include exploring effective ways to halt North Korea’s advancements in nuclear capabilities.

North Korea had previously condemned the large-scale joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea, scheduled to commence next week, labeling them as provocative actions that would heighten tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
