Lebanese Prime Minister Vows All Efforts for Israeli Withdrawal from Southern Lebanon

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam declared on Friday that his government will spare no effort to achieve a complete Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon. He also emphasized the desire for southern Lebanon to be under government sovereignty and for citizens to live in security. Salam affirmed commitment to forming a government that adheres to the constitution and the National Accord Document.
The Lebanese Prime Minister further stated that efforts will continue to strengthen the army’s capabilities through Arab and international support. He highlighted that the army’s strength lies not only in its armament but also in its unity, emphasizing a singular, united Lebanese identity. He stressed the need to preserve this unity and prevent the infiltration of sectarianism.
Nawaf Salam added that the Lebanese people today have no alternative but to possess one army, one flag, and one government. He asserted that the best tribute to the martyrs is to establish a state with strong institutions for their children. The Prime Minister reiterated his support for the army, pledging to provide all necessities for its success. He concluded by stating that no effort will be spared to achieve the full withdrawal of Israel and the return of Lebanese citizens to their cities and villages.
Concurrently, the Lebanese Minister of Defense reiterated the commitment to restoring government sovereignty and achieving the complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces.
