Ukraine Launches Drone Attack on Russian E-commerce Firm in Samara Region

Ukrainian drones struck an industrial facility and a warehouse belonging to Ozun, a major Russian online retailer, in the Samara region, causing injuries. This marks the first known attack on Ozun amid a wider campaign targeting Russia’s economic infrastructure.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian drones targeted an industrial facility and a warehouse owned by Ozun, a prominent Russian online retailer, during overnight attacks in the Samara region, Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported on Saturday.

Governor Fedorishchev stated via Telegram that several individuals sustained injuries in the strikes. While the specific industrial facility attacked was not identified, the region is known to host several oil refineries that have been repeatedly targeted by Ukraine.

Ozun, Russia’s second-largest online retailer, confirmed in a statement that operations at its logistics center in the city of Chapaevsk, Samara region, were suspended following the attack, which the company said resulted in injuries.

This incident represents the first known attack against Ozun, the e-commerce retailer. It follows weeks of strikes against its larger competitor, Wildberries, which Ukraine considers part of a broader campaign against the economic infrastructure supporting Russia’s military operations.

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had intercepted 457 Ukrainian drones throughout the night.
