Iranian delegation thanks Iraq for honoring martyred leader

A senior Iranian delegation conveyed gratitude to Iraq for its role in the ceremonies honoring the martyred leader of the Islamic nation, emphasizing the strong bonds between the two countries. The visit aimed to express appreciation for the Iraqi government and people’s solidarity during the farewell and funeral procession.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a delegation representing the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with the head of Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) to express profound thanks to the Iraqi government and people. The delegation specifically acknowledged the warm reception and participation in the funeral ceremonies for Iran’s martyred leader.

Faleh al-Fayadh, head of the PMF, welcomed the Iranian delegation on Sunday, accompanied by several senior commanders of the organization. The delegation, dispatched on behalf of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, conveyed Iran’s appreciation for Iraq’s official and popular stances, as well as the expressions of sympathy, solidarity, and loyalty from the Iraqi people and officials. The active participation of the PMF in the funeral procession was particularly lauded.
