Iraq Proposes Security Coordination Council Between Iran and Saudi Arabia
Iraq has put forward a proposal to establish a unified security coordination council involving both Iran and Saudi Arabia, aiming to enhance regional stability. The initiative was announced by Iraq’s National Security Advisor, Qassem Al-Araji.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraq‘s National Security Advisor, Qassem Al-Araji, announced that Baghdad has presented a proposal to Iran and Saudi Arabia for the creation of a joint security coordination council. Speaking about the initiative, Al-Araji stated, “We have presented a proposal to both Iran and Saudi Arabia to establish a unified security coordination council.” He did not provide further details regarding the specifics of this proposal. This development follows ongoing efforts to de-escalate tensions in the Persian Gulf region.
