Germany Approves Major Military Exports to Israel Amid Shifting Policies

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the German government has announced its approval for the export of military equipment to the Israeli regime valued at approximately €800 million. This decision follows the removal of minor restrictions previously imposed on arms exports to Tel Aviv.

Berlin has issued permits to German defense industry companies for the supply of this military equipment during the period between January and June 2026. Reports indicate that the value of this military transaction exceeds the total value of registered permits for arms sales to the Israeli regime throughout the entire year of 2025.

Press reports emphasize that large-scale military projects constitute a significant portion of the approved export permits. Notably, one naval project alone accounted for about 67% of all permits issued in the second quarter of the year.

Among the most prominent equipment provided to the Israeli regime is the submarine ‘INS Drako,’ manufactured by the German company Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems, a firm specializing in naval and military industry production.
