Strait of Hormuz Sees Only Six Ship Departures Amid Tensions

Only six cargo ships transited the Strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, according to data from Kepler, a development occurring as U.S. President Donald Trump claims progress in negotiations with Iran and asserts American control over the vital waterway.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data released by Kepler indicates that only six cargo ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz in the past day. Among the vessels transiting the strait, two were large gas carriers.

This slowdown in maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz occurs against a backdrop of statements from U.S. President Donald Trump, who has asserted that his country is achieving “very good results” with Iran. Trump has further claimed that Washington currently holds dominion over the Strait of Hormuz.

Earlier on Wednesday, Trump had also emphasized that any new military operations against Iran would not be prolonged.
