US Navy Sailors Barred from Media Talks Amid Reports of Lincoln Carrier’s Deterioration

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Guardian newspaper in the United Kingdom reported that upon the arrival of the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln at the coast of Thailand, some of its sailors stated they were prohibited from speaking with journalists about the conditions on the ship during the past six months.

In related news, Russia Today reported that the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln caused public astonishment when it docked at the port of Laem Chabang, Thailand, as its bow to the stern was covered in rust.

Experts suggest this condition is expected for a vessel that has been at sea for over six months without interruption. They emphasized that rust removal is not feasible during combat operations and that approximately 30 days of repairs are needed for a complete cleanup.

Former US Navy Captain Carl Schuster noted that the crew will undertake priority actions during this 7-day stopover, focusing on the ship’s bow, which has suffered the most from corrosion. He warned that rust is ‘like a contagious disease’ and must be contained in its early stages before it weakens the ship’s hull.

The aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln spent 286 consecutive days at sea, which included combat operations and blockades against Iran in the Middle East.

Media reports had previously highlighted psychological issues and supply shortages among the crew members of this carrier. However, US President Donald Trump hastily dismissed these reports, stating that the carrier’s operations ‘had not been long enough.’
